Terrance Williams

Postby DS Jared » Mon Feb 04, 2013 2:44 pm

The 2013 draft class is relatively weak when it comes to impact skill position, fantasy players. But a guy I'm diggin' is Baylor WR Terrance Williams. He's a sturdy 6'2 and 205 pounds. Taking over for Kendall Wright as the team's #1 WR this year, Williams exploded for a 97-1,832-12 line.

I watched a few Baylor games this season and always came away impressed with Williams' game. He does a good job getting off the line, has serious deep speed, and is impressive after the catch.

Cal's Keenan Allen is currently expected to be the first WR off the board this April, but I wouldn't be surprised if Williams starts pushing him for that honor.
Glad Tim Biakabatuka is out of the league.

Gotta agree with you guys 100% here. Couple of us were talking on here about college guys making an impact their first year back in November, and both Williams and Allen were high on my list.

I LOVE the size Williams brings to the table. I think if he lands in the right spot, he is going to be an impact player right away. Unfortunately, if he lands somewhere sans QB, it could go the other way, ala Blackmon. Gabbert simply killed his value right away. Hopefully the same won't happen to Williams.

Love the idea of this section of the forum. Hopefully others jump are checking in and jump on board. This could lead to some excellent discussions!

I do think Williams is a raw WR who needs to improve his route-running. I'm not necessarily banking on him making a Year 1 impact. But I think he could develop into a #1 WR within 2-3 seasons.

A WR capable of making an instant impact: Louisiana Tech's Quinton Patton

Glad I nabbed him with a 2nd round rookie pick, I don't think he'll produce for me this year, but how can you not love this guy opposite Dez in the coming years?
