Matt, hold up before you pick at #15, we're getting something straightened out. Thanks!

The Chargers have acquired the 15th overall pick from the 49ers in exchange for the 17th and 83rd overall picks.

With the 15th pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers select Georgia RB Todd Gurley.

Fills a big hole. And a healthy Gurley is a top 5 overall talent in this class.
Glad Tim Biakabatuka is out of the league.

After moving down from 15 to 17 and picking up an extra 3rd-rounder, the Niners still get the guy they would have taken originally: Washington NT Danny Shelton.

The D has some rebuilding to do all of the sudden while trying to remain a contender. And it can't hurt Shelton's chances that the new head coach used to be the D-line coach.

Right on to everyone! I was away from the internet for 24 hours and expected to have a lot to clean up. On the down side, I never did hear from the last person I expected to, so no one has taken the AFC North, and we have 4 picks coming up for them, starting soon. I will take them, but if someone else wants 1 or more of them, PM me, and I'll add you in to the master list. Onward!!

Okay, homer, Jared, Matt... thanks for all being willing to pick up extra teams. I went ahead and claimed the Browns' pick, since I was signed in and "on the clock". That left three picks and three of you, so I gave you one each, in the order I read your pm. homer, you have the Bengals now at #21, Jared has the Steelers at #22 (make a bad pick, just to tick Lenny off, would ya?) and Matt, you've got the Ravens at #26. All picks are assigned, so lemme make that Browns pick and resume things...

After taking the skill position with their first pick, there is a real need to fill needs on both sides of the line, as well as a pass-rushing OLB type. I'm assuming they won't go QB in the first round again this year...

With the 19th pick of the first round, the Cleveland Browns select Malcom Brown, DT - Texas.

I know Peters has voiced remorse about the behavior that got him booted from the team, but I have a hard time envisioning Chip Kelly spending his 1st-rounder on a guy who disrespected his coaches to the point that they couldn't stand to have him around any more. I really think Philly goes Byron Jones of UConn if he's there.

It seemed early for Jones and Collins apparently failed drug tests multiple times, so maybe Chip just trades down...

Seems like folks are all over the place on Jones. I think he'd be less surprising for the Birds at 20 than Marcus Smith was at 26 last year, though.

With the 22nd overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson.

The Steelers have needed CB help for years. Some scouts have Johnson as the top CB in this class.
Glad Tim Biakabatuka is out of the league.
