DraftSharks FF Championship

Postby DS Kevin » Wed Aug 26, 2015 7:01 pm

Hey all,

We're pumped to expand our daily fantasy coverage this year with more weekly strategy articles -- plus weekly podcasts.

Our partners at FanDuel were also cool enough to hook up the 1st ever DraftSharks FF Championship. You can visit the sign up page (https://www.fanduel.com/draftsharks-championship?btag=a_3791b_1161c_) or visit our recent post with even more details about the partnership (http://www.draftsharks.com/article/2473/draftsharks-and-fanduel--what-to-expect-this-nfl-season)

Some highlights

*A 100% deposit bonus for 1st time FanDuel users that's earned as you play. Just enter Promo Code DRAFTSHARKS when signing up.
*For the Week 1 qualifier to the DS FF Championship, if you finish above all 3 DS experts (Matt, Jared and Kevin), you'll receive a bonus $10.
*We also plan to give away FD merchandise, free contest tickets, DS memberships and even a trip or 2 to Vegas ... all exclusive to DS members. 8)

Fire away with any questions!

Thanks,
Kevin

Will the $10 bonus for beating the 3 DS guys in Week 1 automatically show up in our FanDuel accounts, or do we need to request it somehow?

Week 2 contest will be available within the next couple of days. And the $10 will be deposited into your account soon.
Glad Tim Biakabatuka is out of the league.

Hey guys,

This week, the winner of the DS qualifier will receive a free trip to Las Vegas, courtesy of FanDuel. That includes 1 round-trip flight and 3 nights stay (December 11, 12, 13) at the Cosmopolitan. Those December dates coincide with FanDuel's HUGE live final event that will pay out $12 million in total prizes. You won't have a seat for that tournament, but you'll be able to attend all of FanDuel's parties during those 3 days.

Still a $10 buy-in for Week 3, while the total field has been cut by 50. Good luck to all!

Fanduel and Draftkings are nothing but a way to lose money. 1.3% of the players win 91% of the money. These high end players enter multiple entries in different contests. Last year using software players on there websites entered up to 500 times in million dollar entries, and 100 times on all other contests. On top of all that they are responsible for season long fantasy sports getting banned in certain states, with more to follow. Ohio and Georgia have bills on the books right now which may outlaw two more states in the near future. Draftkings and Fanduel generate enough money they can afford the $50,000.00 annual fee or 30k or whatever each state chooses. The states lump in daily fantasy sports with season long fantasy sports. The little guy season long sites can't afford these fees. As more and more states ban fantasy sports, sites like draftsharks where people go for fantasy advice will lose more and more customers.
