Any thoughts on Woodhead?? I have not heard anyone speak his name all preseason, but he is going higher in the drafts than I would have expected..

Over the last 2 seasons, Baltimore has thrown the ball over 670 times with about 110 targets going to the RB position. Kenneth Dixon is done for the season and Woodhead was brought in to specifically fill the pass catching RB role. 2 years, ago he finished as the RB3 overall in PPR and the RB10 in points per game. People are drafting him for his upside given all the circumstances above. There's age and injury risk (including Flacco now), but the upside is fairly clear.

For what its worth, I think if you're drafting in a PPR league and miss out on Woodhead, then Riddick makes a good consolation prize.

Ski,

Thanks for the input!

I think the age and injury risk is significant here, and I'm not excited about the Baltimore offense at all, except for Tucker of course. However, there is some upside as Ski pointed out as long as you don't overpay.
My post count says I'm a rookie, but I've been giving bad advice here for years!

In deep leagues, I think Javorious Allen makes for a reasonable late round flier. Woodhead has been hampered with a hamstring this summer and Allen has proven to be a viable PPR RB in the past. He might see opportunity this season.
