Gronk For Hunt?

Postby soup2345 » Thu Sep 14, 2017 6:03 pm

Hello guys. Hope you are all having a wonderful start to your FF season.

Standard scoring. No ppr. starting requirement QB-2 Rb-2 WR-TE- Flex.

Was offered Gronk for Hunt straight up. Would you make this move given my current roster?

My team:

Palmer
Gordon, Hunt, McCaffery, Abdullah, D. Martin
AJ Green, A. Cooper, Desean Jackson, Tyreke Hill, Corey Davis, Richard Matthews
Eifert

His team:

Dak
Bell, Ajayi, Kelly, Forte,
Pryor, Jeffrey, Tate, Garçon
Gronk

I wouldn't do it. With no PPR, the upgrade from Eifert to Gronk is minimized. Hunt will prove to be much harder to replace.
teams 1 and 2 - 1 pt 10 yds rushing/rec, 1 ppr, 6 td, 1 pt 25 yds passing, 4 tds

Team 1 (10 team) - start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te
qb: Brady, Wentz
rb: Dalvin Cook, B. Powell, J. White, A. Kamara
wr: Green, M. Thomas, B. Cooks, S. Diggs, T. Williams, JJ Nelson
te: Ertz, Doyle

team 2(10 team) - start 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex (rb, wr, te)
qb: Mariota, Wilson
Rb: D. Murray, Fournette, D. Henry, Riddick
wr: A. Brown, K. Allen, S. Diggs, Crowder
te: stream

Given no problem and your current TE depth, no way I'd give up Hunt.

TL
Theismans_Leg:
QB - Brees, Stafford
RB - Elliot(retained), Gordon, Montgomery, Doug Martin, Carson, McFadden
WR - M. Thomas, D. Thomas, Hogan, Snead, Hurns
TE- Olsen, Fleener

Start:1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, K, D.
Scoring: NON-ppr, Standard scoring, ALL TD's 6pts. Bonus for 30 yard+ scores

Another "No" vote. Positional scarcity makes trading Hunt a hard pass for a "onsie" position like TE. Even for the top TE in the game.

You should try and use some of your depth at RB and WR and upgrade at QB.

No, thankfully I held onto Hunt and didn't trade for Gronk.

Although, having both Eifert and Green in my starting lineup is looking like long term trouble. I hope the new OC will be able to get both more involved. It would be tough to look worse than they did the first two weeks.

Sorry to revive this thread, but need some more input.

Same teams involved as previous trade offer. The other owner is still trying to get a RB and using Gronk as hIs trade bait.

Would you make this deal?:

I give M Gordon and Eifert (was about to cut him anyway)
I get Gronk

That's still a no for me. I'd rather take my chances on the ww for a TE- maybe grab Clay if he's available
My post count says I'm a rookie, but I've been giving bad advice here for years!
