Fantasy Basketball/NBA

Postby billyr54 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 4:58 pm

Giving Fantasy Bball another go this year. Participated in my first "real" season last year and actually enjoyed it and did pretty well despite my admitted lack of basketball knowledge and bias towards the Chicago Bulls. I saw my first "real" season because I have played a few time sbefore with friends and often ended up throwing in the towel or forgetting about my team halfway through the season. Anyways, we are upping the ante this year, so I really need to be on top of my game. Does anyone have any recommendations for any reliable fantasy bball sites? I really am just looking for something basic, and alternative to the draft kits Yahoo! and ESPN give you. Preferably something either free or relatively cheap since I am not involved in fbball the way I am in ffb and DS. Thanks guys!

Billy, I'm as diehard with fbball as I am in ffball. Try FantasybasketballCafe.com and Basketballmonstercom...

Both are free and gives you an alternative to the yahoo's and cbs' of the world. Basketball monster actually has a free player analyzer section that allows you to plug in your scoring system/stat catagories and it will give you tiers of players. Hope it helps and good luck...

RotoEvil is the DraftSharks basketball doppelganger.

Bringing this back, anyone have any new resources to offer? Still struggling in the same fantasy bball league I have for years (Don't think I've ever finished higher than 4th), but I think I have a pretty decent core this year so am looking for any boost I can get. Would love to hear what you guys use for news, analysis, rankings etc. (a la draftsharks).

Can anyone recommend some strategy websites for fantasy basketball AUCTION drafts? I feel pretty confident about my talent evaluation but my league is doing an action draft for the first time and I have no idea what I'm doing.
The Men's League - 7-3, 2nd pts
QB - Matt Stafford
3WR - Randall Cobb, Golden Tate, Anquan Boldin, Greg Jennings, Davante Adams
2RB - Alfred Morris, Joique Bell, Pierre Thomas, Charles Sims
TE - Orange Julius
K - Gostkowski
D/ST - Detroit, Miami
[14 teams, 0.25 completions, 0.5 PPR, otherwise standard]
