27-Page Rule Book -- Too Much?

Postby Lombardi » Thu Aug 30, 2012 5:03 am

So I was getting sick of all the in-fighting during the season in my high-stakes league so I decided to draft a 27-page rule book that incorporates every conceivable fantasy football issue, we have now adopted it as "the law"....only problem is everyone keeps bitching that it's too complicated and extensive....think it was over kill? I think its freaking brilliant :)

i guess it depends ... was it written on post-it notes , or poster board ?
;D
i have been trying to do this for years in our league , but have never set aside the time to get it all in writing
put me in the 'brilliant' column, it is better to have it all in writing v. "i always thought the rule was ..." situations

As long as you are not repeating your rules with just different wording then it seems fine to me. Plus, if it's heavy enough to throw at them then that can be considered a bonus.

Why 27 pages? One of my leagues you could fit the rules all on 2 sheets. Even the big leagues online dont need that many pages. Umless your using font size 72 I would say too much info. Good job tho coming up with that much. I am sure it was time consuming.
