Please read before asking who to start!!!

Postby QuarterDMG » Mon Sep 06, 2010 5:22 pm

Most of you guys know that I try to answer as many "Who do I start?" questions as I can. I know I'm probably wrong as much as I am right but I do it to try and help and hope that you sharks will help me when I ask for help. Anyway, PLEASE post the matchups for your guys so we don't have to look them up. Also, please post your lineup requirements and if it's PPR or have other unorthodox scoring. This will help out everyone. Thanks and have a great season!

One more thing - almost everyone still playing at this point is in the playoffs, so any "MUST WIN / PLAYOFFS" titles are just redundant and in fact, make me less likely to want to answer your post than more. Of course, that may be your goal, I'm not sure.

AP or AB?? NY strip, Philly cheesesteak OR Minnesota??

Postby ChadleyT14 » Sun Dec 19, 2010 3:55 pm

Hey guys, in a big pinch and can't decide...need some helpful advice! Its a PPR league w/ a bonus @ 100 yds and lengths of TDs.

Should I start Peterson @ their frozen tundra home w/ a newbie QB vs. Chi OR Ahmad Bradshaw playing against the Eagles??

Which defense for a league that gets awarded for pts. allowed, 3 pts. per turnover, 2 pts. per sack? My choices are Philly (@ NYG), NYG (Philly), or Minn (@ their frozen tundra home vs. Chi)

All thoughts will be extremely appreciated!

First - you will probably get more responses if you post in a separate thread instead of in this one.

I don't think you can bench AP in the playoffs, even though Bradshaw in PPR is tempting.

I think I would go with the Minny D - weather should keep the score low and CHI gives up sacks.

posted in separate thread as well, but listed here for your opinion as well:

PPR league start 2RB/2WR/1flex roster below in signature

Week #2 and my 1-2 punch at WR is already possibly on the bench with Nicks/Lloyd!
CJ2K slow off the mark after missing camp and now up against the the Ravens!
Good news is that I have decent depth and options...could use some opinions please.

RB:
Hillis vs. Cinc: definite start- that's 1 RB
Felix Jones @SF: definitely plan to play as either RB2 or flex
CJ2K vs. Baltimore: Ravens stop run. I know DS says you have to start him as RB1 or RB2 , but I have decent options:
JStarks @ Car
various WR plays listed below (LMoore, KBritt, Meacham)

WR:
Nicks vs. StL: nice matchup, but knee issue and on Monday (Question: I could drop Hardesty to pick up BGibson to cover my Nicks play if I do keep him in the lineup)
BLloyd vs. Cinc: not practicing with groin issue and will likely have to bench
Britt vs Balt: Ravens secondary can be beat and they should be playing from behind
Meacham or LMoore vs. Chic: as Moore been hurt, would likely go with Meacham if forced to use one.

So...
Which 2 WR to start?
Which flex? CJ2K or Starks or 3rd WR from the bunch?

Thanks in advance!

1st - you would get more response if you set up a separate thread.

I would go Dez and Nate unless you already played JJ.

Tony Romo at home against Tampa Bay

or...

Matt Ryan at SD

I am playing someone who has both Miles Austin and Demarco Murray in their line ups... if that makes a difference

PPR league... 50 passing yards per point 6 point passing TDs

100% agree and I actually take it further. EVERY week is a must win. No one every sets their lineup, looks at it and says, "Man, I sure hope I LOSE this one!"

Every game I play, I want to knock the snot out of my oppo, whether it is week 1 or Championship Week.

I don't just want to win, I want to be high score every week. Hell, I want to be high score when I have a bye!

The two of you are out of your minds!!! I hate to win every week..lmao

EVERY WEEK IS A MUST WIN WEEK!!!!

Hornsfan, I was just in the ATX at a buddy's lake house on Travis...How depressing is that? It's been about three years since i've been on Lake Travis and WOW!!!! 100 feet down at his lake house. We use to have too walk down only 4 steps to get to the lake 5years ago, now we have to walk down 199 steps to get to the lake....man oh man!!!

I'll be back in the ATX on October 27th for Iron Man competition....
